The Burnside Hotel's Christmas Break for 2010
Christmas Eve
Our celebrations begin from midday when you can relax and unwind in our Lake View lounges with mulled wine and mince pies in front of a roaring log fire. From 6.00pm please help yourselves to a champagne cocktail in the bar before dining in the candlelit Silhouettes Restaurant. Our hand bell ringers will entertain you early in the evening.
After dinner relax and sing carols with our resident keyboard player. Don't forget our procession leaves at 11.00pm for the Christmas Service at St Martin's Church in the village.
At midnight creamy hot chocolate and shortbread will be served on your return to the hotel.
Christmas Day
The best day of the year! After breakfast simply relax in a quiet corner, alternatively Parklands Country Club is open should you wish to work up an appetite for your Christmas lunch.
Your Traditional Christmas Lunch will be served with a champagne cocktail. The remainder of the day is yours to relax, with the Queen's speech being televised at three o'clock.
In the evening after a splendid Lake District buffet round off the day with the Burnside Quiz Master.
Boxing Day
After breakfast enjoy a complimentary cruise of your choice on Lake Windermere before returning to the hotel for a buffet lunch. Following lunch join in the wine tasting then get yourself ready for our Gangsters and Molls Themed Night.
Imagine the scene, it's the 1920's and the time of the prohibition, you've given the secret password to the gangsters doormen and you are now in an illicit 1920's drinks den, so as not to arouse suspicion of the long arm of the law, it's pre-dinner drinks in tea cups.
Straight after dinner it's show time! Try your hand at the gangster run casino or dance the night away on the dance floor.
Monday 27th December 2010
After breakfast, join us on our accompanied Lake District walk where we'll be stopping for a shot of brandy and Christmas cake. On your return to the hotel enjoy a light buffet before joining in the Ready Steady Cook competition.
After a lavish farewell dinner join us for the Burnside Race Night.
Tuesday 28th December 2010
Our full Cumberland breakfast will set you up for your journey home. For those of you who must leave us, have a safe journey home and come back soon in 2010, if you have any time why not stay a little longer at the special rates available.
The Burnside Hotel's Christmas Break rates are per person for four nights based on twin/double occupancy inclusive of all food and entertainment and full use of Parklands Country Club, our all weather leisure environment.

Extra nights £45.00 per person per night inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast.

Booking Conditions
All bookings must be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit of £150.00 per reservation.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation for whatever reason the deposit paid is non-refundable. Subject to the accommodation being re-let no further charges will be made. In the event of the accommodation not being re-let 28 days prior to arrival then the total account is payable within 10 days.

We strongly recommend that you take out Holiday Insurance against cancellations. |
